High School Updates 11-19-18

Sports Forms + Practice Times:

If you are participating in Basketball and/or Cheer, your gold card and concussion form are due on the first day of practice.  A co-curricular fee of $175 is due in the office by November 19.

With the start of winter sports, students may have later start times for practices. No matter what time is set, no student may remain in our school buildings after the last adult has vacated. Business hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students who desire to stay on campus to wait for a practice must have an adult agree to stay on site until coaches arrive. We trust our students, but for their safety, these rules must be followed. Please plan accordingly and speak with coaches or our athletic director, Bill Bailey, if you need to problem solve supervision between practices. Thank you for working with us to ensure the safety of all students.

Canned Food Drive:

We have asked all high school students to bring in canned goods for our Thanksgiving chapel on Wednesday, November 21. This is a tough time of year for many local families, so we will be donating to our local food bank. A collection bin is in the Hawks Nest under the bright sign. Anything you can bring in is appreciated!

Experience Concordia Day - Friday November 30

What is it?

We want to showcase our high school by inviting prospective 9-12th graders on campus for a half day where they will eat lunch, attend chapel, hear from alumni and engage in several activities led by faculty and students.

What’s in it for me?

We are excited to show off our high school, and who better than you, our students, to do this? If you invite a friend to Concordia Day and they attend the event, you'll be able to choose a gift card. In addition, you'll be entered to win a larger prize!

We need YOU!

What are you waiting for? Let’s get the word out! Postcards are available to help you spread the news about Concordia Day; they also have information regarding registration. Pick them up in the office or see Mrs. Larsen.

Kevin Kozakowski, a former Hawk and pre-med graduate from Gordon College, is available to tutor students in math and science. He has experience working with a wide variety of learners and would love to assist our current students. If you are interested in tutoring assistance for your student, please call Libby Glasser at 253-284-4433 to obtain contact info.
