CCA Bulletin 9.7.25

Principal's Corner

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Proverbs 11:14

Dear Parents,

We had a fantastic first week and are excited to see what God has for all of us this school year! We are growing, and I loved seeing all the new faces at our Back-to-School Barbeque and first chapel service. I am amazed that just three months can make such a difference in how our students look. They all come back more mature and taller!

As our school grows, we plan to build support into key areas of our program. We are blessed to welcome Jeanna Baldwin this year as our sixth-grade assistant teacher.

I am blessed to have administrative support for our K-12 program, with Halle Warmbier joining CCA as Assistant Principal. She will be present at school half-days, Monday through Friday. Please see Halle and Jeanna’s introductions below.

We love partnering with our families to provide a solid foundation of communication during the school year. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. I have an open-door policy and am eager to speak with you. Additionally, I include my phone number in every communication. You may call me any day up to 9:00 p.m.

We truly experience JOY in knowing that Jesus is our Savior. He is the cornerstone for all we accomplish at CCA, and we are thankful for this new school year.

In Christ,

Sherrie Gibelyou

Welcome Mrs. Warmbier!

My name is Halle (“Holly”) Warmbier, and I am so excited to be the Assistant Principal at Concordia Christian Academy this year. I am passionate about kids thriving in community and learning problem-solving skills for life.

After receiving a degree in Social Work from Concordia University in Portland, I earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of Southern California. I taught fifth grade for five years at Life Christian Academy and then served as Middle School Principal and Upper School Principal, respectively, after completing administrative certification in WA State.

I am thankful to be joining our Lutheran community here at Concordia and look forward to supporting our students, teachers, and families in their growth in knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

Welcome Mrs. Baldwin!

My name is Jeanna Baldwin. I have the pleasure of working in the 6th-grade room with Mr. Gray this year. I received my K-8 Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Language Arts, from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN, in 2003. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings including middle school, homeschool, co-ops, preschool, and elementary school. Because I’m married to an amazing man who is a civil engineer, pastor, and counselor currently serving active duty as an Army Chaplain, my resume also includes customer service and business.

My passion has always been to help individuals discover their identity, gifts, and purpose, regardless of the circumstances in which they are placed. I am super excited to be a part of this classroom and work with the middle school staff as we collaborate to promote the purpose of CCA.

I am thankful to be part of the Concordia family and looking forward to a remarkable year! I am grateful for the opportunity to be here!
