Dear Parents,
With the new school year upon us, excitement is in the air! The beginning of the year is like the opening of a new sports season–an opportunity to start fresh. During summer, we relax a bit, enjoy new activities, hone skills we will need, and get ready for September.
There is a predictable, yet exciting rhythm to the end of summer and the beginning of school that is both familiar and brand new. I love seeing our students look taller and more mature. So many changes occur over the summer!
Our theme this year, “Let’s Make a Joyful Noise!” is based on Psalm 98:4: “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!”
It’s fitting to have a theme that matches our feelings about a new year; it’s fitting to sing praises to the God who loves us so much that He gave His one and only Son for us; it’s fitting to be so grateful that we want to love others as He loves us.
Christ offers us a new beginning when we give our lives to Him, and we love to share the Good News! My prayer is that our school reflects the love of Christ in all we say and do, and that others may come to know Him through us.
At Concordia, we cultivate a transformative educational experience rooted in Christ-centered values. We are committed to delivering high-quality academic instruction in a supportive, student-centered environment that encourages students to discover and develop their unique talents and abilities. Through this holistic approach, we aim to prepare young people not only for academic success but also for service in their communities and the world. Our commitment is to shape compassionate, responsible leaders who embody Christian principles and positively impact society in their lives and vocations.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, September 3. We will end our day praising God and thanking Him for a brand-new school year. You are cordially invited to attend our chapel service, which begins at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, across the street from CCA.
We thank you for entrusting your precious children to us. We love our families as Christ loves us, and we will spend our school year nurturing them to be people who love and care for others.
