Dear Parents,

 

Due to the success of our cheer team and the incredible representation of our school at our first Daffodil Parade, we have been invited to participate in the World Cup Parade on June 12. This year’s parade theme is “All Together,” and our school theme will be “Loves Jesus and Team USA Too.”

 

This parade will be a bit different than others. Our “marketing” will come from what we display on our float, what we wear, and what we carry—there will be no handing out or throwing items along the route.

 

At this time, the official parade route has not yet been released. However, we do need to confirm how many participants we will have before we can move forward with many of our plans.

 

The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. and is expected to last approximately two hours. Once we receive details about our staging/start location, that will be the designated drop-off or meeting point for participants.

 

Please note the following participation guidelines:

  • Students and children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the parade.
  • All participants will be expected to walk the full route.
  • Participants should be prepared to stay engaged—waving, possibly dancing, holding pom-poms or other items, and representing our school with enthusiasm.
  • There will not be places to sit during the parade.
  • All families must wear the assigned or requested attire. Parade staff and officials may remove participants who are not in compliance on the day of the event.
