I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Dear Families,
Last Friday, Josiah Hampton enjoyed a special day as Principal for the Day, courtesy of his grandparents, who purchased this prize for him at our auction on Saturday, April 30. “Mr. Hampton” was a very good principal, and our students enjoyed some fun perks during his reign. He began his day by leading our entire school through earthquake and fire drills. Then, he made the rounds to classrooms to let everyone know that his day would allow extra recesses and pizza lunch for everyone in K-8. The students in K-2 even got to play on the big, Big Toy (as Josiah outs it)! During the morning, he helped out in several classrooms.
At lunchtime, Josiah delivered pizza to all of our K-8 classes. Our students were very appreciative. Although Josiah was a little nervous when he began his day, he was owning the title on his name tag by lunchtime! Below, you will see him delivering pizza and helping the Parrot Lady who came to show our K-2 students her beautiful, smart birds.
If you have students interested in becoming a Principal for the Day, watch for it in our auction next spring. We offer it every year; it is available to anyone who matches the highest bid. I’m not sure who has more fun – the kids or me!
In Christ,
Sherrie Gibelyou
