Principal's Corner

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

Psalm 100: 1-2

Dear Parents,

Last Thursday, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-graders put on a fabulous show! Go West was a combination of traditional music and pure joy. I have seen a lot of performances during my years at CCA, but I have not seen a show that was performed with more enthusiasm than what was shown on our stage last week.

We are so thankful for Mrs. Anderson’s oversight and talent, our teachers and their dedication to our students, and all of you, our parents, who partner with us to help our children shine.

Spring is filled with many types of activities and year-end performances, and I look forward to those yet to come. In the meantime, I will continue to smile each time I think of our students singing with so much earnest.

Have a wonderful week!

In Christ,

Sherrie Gibelyou

COMING THIS WEEK!

We are looking forward to a fun afternoon of exercise and fellowship. There is still time to donate to this important fundraiser. See below!

We are thrilled to host this event on Wednesday, May 13, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on our field. The Jog-A-Thon provides funds to support our Fine Arts programs at Concordia. These programs include art and music classes for kindergarten through 5th grades, electives for 6th through 8th grades (including art, band, marimbas, choir, and drama), and other performing arts opportunities.

This is a really fun event, and we want to encourage parents and students to get their pledges in. There are several ways to sponsor a student:

Pledge per lap. We will collect pledges through Friday, May 22, for those wanting to pledge per lap.
Sponsor any amount via check or cash sent to the K-8 office.
