CCA Bulletin 4.27.25

Principal's Corner

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Parents,

Spring is a busy time of year for schools, and CCA is no exception. We have many extra activities after Spring Break which offer new experiences and chances to shine in memorable performances. We celebrate milestones like the Kindergarten Fly-Up, 8th-Grade Celebration, and High School Graduation.

Spring is also a time to plan for changes in the coming school year. Some of you know that Claire Hall, our high school math teacher, has accepted a Call to teach middle school at a Lutheran school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The move will bring her closer to family, and she knows this is where God wants her to be. We thank Claire for her service to CCA as a teacher, coach, and NHS Advisor.

I am pleased to announce that Tami Broden, our long-term math tutor, will teach our high school math classes next year, including Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Precalculus. Tami has been an active and dedicated member of the Concordia family for over 20 years. When her son attended Concordia Elementary and Mount Rainier Lutheran High schools, she was a “classroom mom,” deeply engaged with the Parent-Teacher League (PTL) and MRLH Boosters.

In 2016 Tami began teaching math part-time at Mount Rainier Lutheran High School, transitioning to our current location following the merger of the two campuses. Tami brings a passion for math education and a commitment to helping students confidently grasp challenging concepts. She believes that with the proper support, every student can succeed in math and enjoy the process.

We are excited to have Tami teach these additional classes. She will continue to offer her tutoring services to students in the afternoon.

Blessings,

The CCA Jog-A-Thon is back! We are thrilled to host this event on Wednesday, May 14, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on our field. The Jog-A-Thon provides funds to support our Fine Arts programs at Concordia. These programs include art and music classes for kindergarten through 5th grades, electives for 6th through 8th grades (including art, band, marimbas, choir, and drama), and other performing arts opportunities.

This is a really fun event, and we want to encourage parents and students to get their pledges in.  There are several ways to sponsor a student:

  • Pledge per lap. We will collect pledges through Friday, May 23, for those wanting to pledge per lap.

  • Sponsor any amount via check or cash sent to the K-8 office.

  • Use the link provided below to pledge online.

Attention Parents!

If you need financial aid for tuition next year, NOW is the time to apply. Applications go through FACTS to determine an income vs. expenditure ratio to qualify for aid. Our resources are limited, so applying early is key to receiving assistance.
