Principal's Corner

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.”

John 21: 15-17

Dear Parents,

You’ve heard me speak many times about how important service is to Concordia. Through service opportunities, our students become the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing the Gospel in tangible ways that speak to those in need.

Last week, our high school’s National Honor Society had the chance to serve the homeless population at Good Shepherd by preparing a meal for about 42 hungry people in the community.

This was a project entirely driven by our students. They understood the need in the extended community and committed to raising the funds earlier in the year by securing a grant, then prepared a menu, shopped for food, and hand-prepared the meal to assist Good Shepherd in their commitment to feed the homeless.

While they were at the church, they also engaged with people, sharing their care and compassion with everyone present. We are so thankful for these students, their efforts, and the heart they have for others.

Thank you, NHS, for this beautiful demonstration of care for people!

In Christ,

The CCA Jog-A-Thon is back! We are thrilled to host this event on Wednesday, May 13, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on our field. The Jog-A-Thon provides funds to support our Fine Arts programs at Concordia. These programs include art and music classes for kindergarten through 5th grades, electives for 6th through 8th grades (including art, band, marimbas, choir, and drama), and other performing arts opportunities.

This is a really fun event, and we want to encourage parents and students to get their pledges in.  There are several ways to sponsor a student:

  • Pledge per lap. We will collect pledges through Friday, May 22, for those wanting to pledge per lap.

  • Sponsor any amount via check or cash sent to the K-8 office.

  • Use the link provided below to pledge online.
