Principal's Corner

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

Matthew 28: 5-8

Dear Parents,

On Friday, we had a traditional Good Friday service for our students. We entered and left silently out of reverence for Jesus’ great sacrifice on the cross. I talked about how the word good has two meanings—the traditional good, referencing the selfless act Jesus committed for us, and the Old English term meaning holy. Our students read scripture that detailed Jesus’ journey up to his crucifixion, we sang songs reinforcing the meaning of each passage, and then the chapel was done.

Here is the best part of the journey: We know that EASTER is coming! I hope you are able to celebrate at a church on Sunday. We will be celebrating in our chapel next Wednesday, and you are certainly invited!
