The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Dear Families,
I have been busy finding just the right fit for our 8th-grade teaching position next year, and I’m pleased to let you know that God has brought us the person I have been praying for!
This fall the Plucknett family will be joining CCA. God clearly brought Terry Plucknett to CCA as our 8th-grade teacher. He is actually REjoining the CCA family; he attended Concordia from 1st through 8th grade in the 1990’s. Terry and my son were in the same class!
Terry received his Bachelor in Education degree (with an emphasis in math) from Concordia University, Portland, in 2008 while also minoring in music and professional church work. For the last 15 years, he has been the 8th-grade homeroom teacher at Forest Hills Lutheran Christian School in Cornelius, OR. He wore many hats during his time there, including middle school math teacher, middle school social studies teacher, choir director, A/V coordinator, basketball coach, and track coach.
In 2018, he received his Masters from Concordia University, Wisconsin, in Educational Design and Technology. Over the last 20 years, he has also been a contemporary worship leader at several Lutheran churches in the Puget Sound and Portland areas.
Terry and his wife Cassie have two children: Atticus, who will be joining us at CCA this fall as a 2nd grader, and Fiona, who will be in kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Cassie has accepted a position with the King County Library system, beginning this summer.
Terry is very excited to meet his students and their families in the fall. Praise God for bringing Terry full-circle in his work as a Lutheran school teacher!
In Christ,

On Friday, we honored all of our military students by wearing purple and patriotic colors. We loved being able to support our military families in this way! To all of our military families, thank you for your service to our country.
Everyone had a great time at the first Bingo Pizza Night since the pandemic. With over 200 people in attendance, we had something for everyone – great food, fun prizes, and lots of fellowship!
