God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46: 1
Dear Parents,
Last Friday, our students took a day off so teachers could spend time learning. Our morning was spent on Executive Function, learning strategies to help students be more responsible, with focus on attention, follow-through, and accountability.
Our afternoon was spent with Theresa Norris from Gig Harbor Self Defense. Theresa’s business helps schools and other organizations prepare for emergency situations. She works closely with first responders to teach the best practices for a variety of emergency scenarios. While CCA has a robust emergency response plan, we can still learn better ways to be prepared.
I invite you to take another look at our detailed policies in our handbook. In the meantime, I assure you we do everything possible to keep your children safe.
Should you have any questions regarding our policies, please reach out to me by email or phone.
