CCA Bulletin 3.22.26

Principal's Corner

For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

1 Corinthians 3: 9

Dear Parents,

At CCA, students of all ages serve the community in a variety of projects.

Third grade students prepared care packages for the men and women serving our country overseas. They also completed a unit on the life cycle of salmon, raising fish from eggs and releasing them back into the wild.

K-8 Student Council members made blankets for those in need and provided Christmas presents for families who could not afford to purchase gifts. They are preparing to clean up our neighborhood with trash pickers for Earth Day.

High school National Honor Society students collected dozens of socks for the homeless, packed lunches for students in need, toured the Tacoma Rescue Mission to learn how to support their work, and received a $1,000 grant to feed the homeless. NHS officers are meeting next week with Good Shepherd to plan cooking and serving meals to the homeless at the church.

Our entire school has rocked giving to our recent service project: over $1,000 for Sharon, the Comfort Dog! The donation helps purchasing everything required to keep Sharon fed, groomed, and in good health.

Thank you for supporting our outreach to the community. The projects our students participate in really do stick with them and help them to see the world beyond our walls.

In Christ,

Something For Everyone

Do not miss out on this evening filled with fun, excitement, great food, and excellent desserts.

We have many wonderful baskets to bid on during the silent auction before dinner. Our live auction, hosted by our own Mr. Boyt, promises to be a fun time with exciting trips and other one-of-a-kind items.

Tickets are still on sale now, so be sure and get yours before they are all gone!

Take a Look at Our Raise-the-Paddle Items!

Our playground will receive a much-needed facelift with your help.

Our existing equipment has served us well, but we need new equipment for our school. We want to update both playgrounds with these new items, and you can help. The cost of this equipment is $104,690. We can make it happen with your assistance!

We are accepting lead gifts now for this important Raise-the-Paddle portion of our auction. If you would like to contribute ahead of the auction next Saturday, you may do so through Sherrie Gibelyou or Samantha Hanson.

Thank you for considering this much-needed improvement for our students!
