Principal's Corner

He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.

Exodus 35:35

Dear Parents,

Our school days are filled with many activities, and the projects produced by our students are among my favorite things. Each year I look forward to seeing their creations, because I know they will be as different as our students. I am constantly amazed by the vast use of materials and the imaginative designs. It doesn’t matter what subject is covered–the products are always varied and fun. I look at many of them and think, “I never would have thought of that!”

Projects are also a great way for parents and children to connect over an activity. While we expect our students to do the work, collaboration at home can be enjoyable! I have fond memories of bonding with my children as we talked about the materials they would use and how their projects would come together. They were proud of their work, and I was proud of them for investing the time to do their best.

As I walked through classrooms last week, our kindergarten and first-grade projects caught my eye. It was 100 Day (the 100th day of school). Our students found great ways to represent this momentous occasion. Take a look!

In Christ,
