Principal's Corner

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Dear Parents,

Our students have been involved in a variety of activities this year, including collecting food for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s food pantry and pumping up spirit for the Lutheran Elementary School Tournament. Some also went to Our Savior Lutheran Church, where they packed 600 bags of food in one hour for the Backpacks 4 Kids ministry, a program which ensures that students in the Franklin Pierce School District have enough to eat when they are not at school.

Our students love reaching out to others. Students participate in charitable giving to worthy local and world causes through their chapel offerings collected each week, and we have had a wonderful impact in our community.

One of the ways that students learn to develop leadership skills and serve others is through our K-8 Student Council, led by Miss Kamrath and Mrs. Rush. After some spirited campaigning, one student from each grade is elected by their peers. Then the real work begins!

At CCA, students experience service opportunities through a planned curriculum that deepens their understanding of how service reflects how God first served us in the person of Jesus Christ. Students who graduate from CCA are motivated to play an active role in society by identifying and using their God-given talents in service to the world. This begins with our youngest learners who become leaders at our school and then move beyond our walls and into the extended community. This faith in action helps our students connect what they learn about Jesus with showing Him and His love to others.

Thank you, families, for supporting our worthy causes, and thank you, Student Council, for your cheerful service!

In Christ,

Sherrie Gibelyou
