CCA Bulletin 2.19.23

Principal's Corner

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17

Dear Families,

This weekend, many of our families enjoyed the great experience of the Lutheran Elementary School Tournament (L.E.S.T.). This year, CCA hosted many of the activities on our campus along with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and PLU. What fun to see and visit with people from schools across the region! In all, 16 Lutheran schools participated in the L.E.S.T.

I told our students during the PEP Rally we held last Wednesday that this is something our younger students can look forward to as they age up. All students in grades 5-8 are encouraged to participate in and attend the activities and games. I was especially pleased with how our students and families supported one another (and other schools) as kids poured their hearts into each competition.

Here is a summary of the CCA students recognized at the Closing Ceremony yesterday:

Girls AA Basketball: Consolation

International Students Are In Need of Host Families

What an opportunity to enjoy an immersive cultural experience!

Aspen Perkins, Regional Manager, with ABC Education Group will share information on what it means to open your home to international high school students. You do not need to have a high school student to be a host family.

Mark your calendars for March 2nd from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The evening is hosted at Concordia in the Hawks Nest.

Safety Reminder for Drop-Off and Pick-Up Areas

The roundabout in front of the 400 Building (K-2) is for drop-off and pick-up only.

     * Please do not park in front of the 400 building. Pull forward as far as you can and do not leave your vehicle.

     * When picking up students at the end of the school day, please follow the flow of traffic. Wait patiently as we load the first few cars in line. Do not attempt to go around other vehicles in line.

     * If your child does not come out right away, keep moving in the circle to keep traffic flowing. This process takes time.

     * If you are in a hurry or do not wish to wait in line, you may park in a stall and walk onto the blacktop to greet your child by the loading zone.

     * Additional parking is available across the street at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church if all stalls are filled in our school lot.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep everyone safe.
