CCA Bulletin 2.11.24

Principal's Corner

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:25

Dear Parents,

If you drop off or pick up students in our roundabout, you may have noticed a sign advertising that our covered playground is coming. Last spring, many of you generously supported this Make a Difference auction item. You may have also wondered why it’s taking so long!

I admit that I thought this would be an easy endeavor. We researched all aspects of the project before presenting it at the auction. We have been waiting for several months for approval of permitting with the City of Tacoma. We have had three different experts submit the proper documentation, and approval is still pending. We cannot move forward until the permitting process is complete.

I want to be clear that we will get this covered area built, but I apologize for the time it has taken. Please be assured that we are getting the job done as quickly as possible. Anyone who knows me also knows that patience is not a virtue of mine. God is teaching me patience!

Thank you for your patience regarding this matter. We deeply appreciate all who made this project possible. Stay tuned; it IS coming – just a little longer than any of us at CCA anticipated.

In Christ,
