Christmas Chapel in Pictures

Our Christmas Chapel last Friday was so special! Our entire school gathered to sing praises to our Lord and read the story of His birth from the Bible. We have very talented students and teachers who lent their amazing voices to the service. It was the perfect way to end the week and begin our Christmas Break!

In a Galilee Far, Far Away

Our fourth and fifth grades, along with the middle school choir and drama classes did a wonderful job telling a familiar story with a slight twist. The timeless message still came through loud and clear:

Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

National Honor Society’s Community Service

Our high school’s NHS visited Our Savior Lutheran Church on November 29 to participate in their Backpacks 4 Kids program. OSLC provides hundreds of meals and supplies to needy students in the Franklin Pierce School District. Our NHS students fulfilled an important part of their commitment to serve others during this trip. Well done, Hawks!

Empty Bowls Fundraiser for Emergency Food Network

Updated amount: $1215

Thank you to all who participated in this important fundraiser, and to those who bought bowls last week to update our total! Our high school pottery class visited EFN to drop off the check last Thursday. It was a great trip!

Re-Enrollment is Coming January 2!

A Message From Our Board President

Dear CCA Community,

Blessings, peace, and joy to you and your families as we celebrate the birth of our Savior!

As we look back at 2023, we have much to be thankful for at Concordia Christian Academy. We are grateful for God’s continued grace and mercy in our ministry and in the lives of our students. We are also appreciative of the incredible support we receive from the CCA community. We see God at work every day and are so thankful for His blessings. He is faithful!

As we look ahead to the new year, a very important focus is on the re-enrollment process which starts January 2. The Board of Directors has approved a 4% tuition increase for the 2024-25 school year. Fees will not be raised. Several considerations went into this decision:

  • The tuition increase will enable us to cover rising costs, as well as cover a cost-of-living adjustment for our teachers.

  • CCA remains committed to excellent programming and technology that enables our students to learn from a variety of resources. While the technology fees cover some costs, the tuition increase allows us to make regular improvements to our curriculum. This includes tools that will allow our teachers to instruct with the best-recommended practices.

  • CCA is almost entirely tuition-driven in terms of meeting the day-to-day operations of a K-12 school. This means that the primary source of income for the school comes from tuition dollars. Through generous donors and our endowment, we can offer an offset to rising costs with financial aid. Families may apply for FA as part of the enrollment process.

  • Additionally, CCA partners with several Lutheran churches in our area that help to support tuition costs for their members. Please inquire at either of our school offices if you want to know more.

Please plan to re-enroll as soon as possible. We offer a $100 credit on enrollment fees for those who re-enroll by February 2. After that, our enrollment opens to new families. Our class sizes are limited, so don’t delay!

May God bless and keep each of you during this holiday season.

In His Service,

Julie Hiller

Community Care Shines at CCA!

For years, CCA has participated in the writing contest hosted by The Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Post 969 on 35th and McKinley. The generous ladies of this post spent their time knitting beautiful hats this year for our K-2 students. Look at those happy faces!
