Dear Parents,

What an amazing group of families we have. One parent Monica Byrd has reached out asking if we can have a group on Monday mornings do a prayer walk around the school. If you are interested in this amazing ministry please contact Libby Glasser at Libby.Glasser@ccatacoma.org

We are so excited this Friday for our high school Homecoming soccer game and Homecoming dance on Saturday. We would encourage all families to attend this soccer game starting right after school on Friday, make sure to bring your camping chair. Homecoming court will be crowned during the halftime.

This coming Friday is also PSATs for Freshman-Juniors. They will sit the exam in the morning and then in the afternoon have homecoming activities as well as lunch provided by Mr. Boyt. This is a full school day. Seniors will be participating in Senior Serve day. They are headed to the Lutheran Church of St. Paul on Friday and be ready to work. They will return after lunch is provided by LCSP for the homecoming festivities in the afternoon.

This Thursday we have an admissions counselor from Concordia University Irvine coming to talk with our Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors about the college application process.

We had such a great time at Bingo+ on Friday. Thanks to Mrs. Smithwick and the team for providing an entertaining evening of fun! We are so thankful for everyone who submitted a chili and congratulations to Mr. Boyt on winning the blind taste test!

One class that we have in high school is Journalism. They produce a school paper called the Crimson Copy. Please enjoy the articles below. This class has produced several students who have gone on to edit their college newspapers!

Below is a Save the Date for our annual Vision Builders Gala. Vision Builders is a group of people passionate about the education CCA offers. Their goal is to come together to raise funds for financial aid so families are able to join CCA who otherwise would not be able to. Please spread the word to community members who may want to participate. Reach out to Samantha Hanson at Samantha.Hanson@ccatacoma.org for more details.

With Joy,
