And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Dear Families,
CCA enjoys many opportunities that come as a result of volunteers working together. We host a number of social activities and fundraising events that would not be successful without the efforts of people in our community who come together for the sake of the school. Did you know that the very top of our organization is also made up of committed volunteers?
I work directly with the CCA Board of Directors, who hold me accountable for all of the ways in which our school grows and functions. The board is comprised of nine individuals who roll up their sleeves to do the work of the school with me. They set policy, deliberate changes, problem-solve, and strategically chart the path of our school – and they do it as volunteers. If you ponder that for a moment, I think you will agree that this work is remarkable. Everything they do is for our Mighty God and the good of our school community.
I have been at CCA for three decades, but I often say that I wouldn’t be serving as principal if not for these people who sit on the board. With every decision, they take the time needed to carefully weigh what is best for Concordia, and they do not take their responsibilities lightly. I am so thankful to be part of this team! Many factors have gone into our growth over the last few years, but an important element of this growth has come from these tremendous, dedicated servants.
Our Board of Directors try very hard to attend all of our important events, so if you happen to see them, feel free to thank them. You’ll see their names as you click on their pictures below. President Emeritus Steve Wolf is not pictured as he recently finished his last term and moved to Texas, but the legacy he leaves is immense and greatly respected.
Concordia is the ministry it is because of these dedicated leaders!
In Christ,
Sherrie Gibelyou

Has your K-5 student ever wanted to be a scientist or increase their understanding of the natural world? In Science Club, students will learn about physics and the natural world through fun and easy chemistry and physics experiments. They will learn about states of matter, the animal and plant kingdoms, and how things we interact with in our everyday lives really work. This is the perfect club if your child loves science or engineering or just wants to get a little messy after school.
Sessions begin on Thursday, October 5, and meet once a week through December 14. The cost is $160 – just $20 per session! The class is limited to 14 students on a first-come, first-served basis, so get your registration in early (checks payable to CCA).
This club is run by Vineyard App Camp. All instructors are fully vetted and background-checked. More information is found at https://www.vineyardappcamp.com/.
CCA High School’s National Honor Society is collecting new, unworn socks for our community neighbors in need. You will find bins in our 100, 300, and 400 Buildings. Please help support this worthy cause!
