Principal's Corner

 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Dear Parents,

Last week we celebrated National Lutheran School Week (NLSW). CCA is one of over 2500 Lutheran schools across the country and internationally. Over 180,000 students experience and celebrate God’s gifts of love, grace, and mercy, and they learn to share those gifts with others.

Our theme this year is Connected. We are all connected as children of God and so thankful for that!

Lutheran schools are known for:

  • Creating a strong work ethic and developing critical thinking skills;
  • Training minds for success at the next academic level;
  • Teaching students to excel at reading, writing, and effective communication;
  • Developing love for and excitement about learning.

Our students experienced all kinds of different activities last week, including special class art projects, creative sculptures from our Student Council Food Drive, fun movies with popcorn, and Bingo with older buddies. On Wednesday we enjoyed an all-school chapel which included a joint worship via Zoom call with Pilgrim Lutheran School in Beaverton, Oregon. The week culminated with an NLSW Olympics on Friday, when our K-8 students enjoyed competing in many different relays and Bible Trivia. We all had a GREAT time!

Blessings on your week,

We can still use some adult supervision on the CCA campus. If you know you will be available, even for short periods of time, please contact Sherrie Gibelyou.

Re-enrollment is HERE!

Links were sent to all families eligible for re-enrollment. Your link should be used this month to apply for re-enrollment and receive a $100 credit toward re-enrollment fees.

Don’t delay. The credit only extends through the end of January. After that, enrollment opens up to new families, and space is limited!

We are always looking for new items to procure for this fun event.

Do you own a vacation rental or timeshare that you could offer up for the good of the cause?

The Hawk-tion is our #1 fundraiser of the year. It generates money that assists Concordia in many ways and is always a fun time! This year’s Make a Difference will focus on a complete facelift for our very busy gymnasium (more details to come). Let’s make this auction the best yet!
