Dear Parents,
 
We begin National Lutheran Schools Week tomorrow! We will be celebrating with fellow Lutheran schools across the country by participating in different activities that make the week special for all our students. The week culminates in an Olympic-style competition for all grades in our gym!
 
Our name reflects our faith as Christians, but we are proud to be part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Lutheran schools:
 
  • Are driven by a commitment to the Gospel and focused on a mission of bringing hope and healing to students and families.
  • Are governed by board members who clearly understand their roles and focus on the vision and board policies that effectively govern the operation of the school.
  • Meet or exceed state and national academic standards at all grade levels.
  • Have educators who model visionary leadership. They practice stewardship of resources, build up others and empathize with others.
  • Have educators who model servant leadership. Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? (Robert Greenleaf)
  • Have educators who model spiritual leadership. They study God’s Word, share their personal faith story, apply Law and Gospel appropriately, exhibit a passion for ministry, act courageously, equip God’s people for service, care for others, demonstrate integrity, and pray.

Look Who Went to Washington, D.C.!

One of our very own CCA dads, Officer (Lieutenant) Dave had the once-in-his-lifetime opportunity to be sworn in and deputized by the U.S. Marshal Service as external law enforcement, to serve and protect in D.C., for the 60th Presidential Inauguration of Donald J. Trump. 
 
He and his counterpart were asked to represent the Tacoma Police Department. Their role was to work the parade route for President Trump’s motorcade. He and many other law enforcement officers from departments and agencies across the United States stood outside at their designated posts for 12.5 hours in brutally cold 13° (with windchill) weather to serve, protect, and maintain order during the inauguration. 
 
This was such a unique and memorable opportunity for him! Thank you for your service, Officer Dave!

This year, the theme is Early ’90s.

Oh, what fun!

The Hawktion is our #1 fundraiser of the year. It generates money that assists 

Concordia in many ways and is always a fun time!

CCA offers a comprehensive academic program, spiritual development, and co-curricular activities. At Concordia, we encourage all students to discover their interests and the gifts that God has given them.   

 

You are invited to come and discover the unique opportunities that are part of the Concordia Experience, all the way through Grade 12. Come to learn more as a parent and bring your friends!
