The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is one of many Christian church denominations around the world and the oldest of the Protestant denominations. There are several different types of Lutheran churches. The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod has a strong tradition of church and school education, teaching a balance between Law and Gospel, with an emphasis on God’s gift of grace. Lutherans believe that our faith in Jesus Christ alone, through God’s grace, saves us from our sins (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Absolutely. Our school welcomes all people who seek an exciting, relevant, and well-balanced education. Students at CCA come from a variety of ethnicities and religious beliefs, including no church background, and we foster an environment of cultural sensitivity and mutual respect. Because of Jesus, His love and sacrifice for us, and the example He set here on earth, we have a rich culture of service at Concordia, which provides amazing opportunities for our students to give back to their community and learn about the world around them.

Daily Bible study at the elementary and middle school levels include scripture reading and memory lessons, learning the great stories and people of the Bible, devotions, and prayer in the classroom setting. Two credits of religion classes are required at the high school level. Once a week, we attend chapel at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Our students are encouraged to actively participate in worship and leadership in our chapel services. We also cultivate specific Christian values in all we do and teach. Eighty hours of community service is required in order to graduate from CCA.

We have a vibrant volunteer population of parents who help with day-to-day activities and special events. Our Volunteer Leadership Team (VLT) is quite active and always ready to include parents who want to get involved in fundraising activities and fellowship opportunities at CCA. All of these activities are voluntary and there are no mandatory participation requirements.

CCA does not have a hot lunch program at this time, so students bring their own lunches. Several supervised microwaves are available for student usage. Periodically, middle and high school students may participate in Hot Lunch Friday, where lunches are purchased and brought in from various restaurants in the area.
